More About Us

Our work combines clinical practice, research and education to improve the lives of people living with dental anxiety and persistent orofacial pain. On this page you can learn more about our research, explore our published work, and find resources that support both patients and healthcare professionals.

Research in Practice

In this video with the British Dental Journal, Professor Tim Newton discusses the research underpinning the approach of the Dental Psychology Service. He describes findings from the team's evaluation of patients receiving Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for dental anxiety, including treatment outcomes and the future direction of the model of care.
